How bout them Blazers? It's only preseason, and they've played Sacramento twice, but the Blazers are looking pretty good. Last night,
Greg Oden went for 20 & 12 after going for nearly 20 & 10 the night before. Word is he's 14 lbs lighter and much more springy because of it. Could be actually be on his way to becoming what everyone hoped when he went #1 overall? New Blazer Andre Miller has also looked like an impact player. This season could get pretty fun.
The
Ducks got a big time football commit yesterday in OG
Nick Rowland . A few years ago, going into Arizona and stealing away an AA HF football recruit would've been pretty unheard of for the Ducks. These, days it's not only not surprising, it's almost expected. Football is largely won and lost in the trenches and Nick is a great addition -- even sweeter that he chose Oregon over UW and ASU.
In other Duck news, the line on this Saturday's game has dropped to 3.5 from 6.5, largely due to Masoli's injury. While he's been back in practice and claims he can play, it sounds like Nate Costa will start. This has been a long time coming for Costa and, despite his own knee injuries, he;s a heck of a player. From what I've seen and heard, he's a capable runner and a better passer than Masoli. I have faith in him. Take Oregon and give the points.
And my must see video for the day. An oldie, but a goodie.
