The Maldives

The Maldives are a terrific Seattle band and I can't get enough of their new cd "Listen To The Thunder".
There's been a literal throw-down in my head as to whether I dial it up or Or, The Whale's latest, Or, The Whale.

Bad, bad news for the Duck football squad.

Possibly the Ducks best player, CB Walter Thurmond III, is out for the year.  This leaves a big hole in the defensive backfield and kick return teams.  The good news is that Oregon didn't seem to miss him when they were holding the vaunted Cal offense to 3 points -- the 3 that WT3, actually spotted them by fumbling the opening kick off.  Hopefully that group continues to step up in his absence.  This is a big loss.

Here's an old favorite that is cheering me up momentarily....

Is this thing on?

Please allow me to introduce myself.....

I'm just a guy living in Portland, Oregon trying to stay focussed and enjoy life in a world full of obstacles and distractions.

My wife, Jenny, a wonderful woman and mother, is a real estate broker battling through an incredibly tumultuous market.  We have a four year old son, Ace, and 2 year old daughter, Sally.

By day, I run a niche publishing business with titles in the rental housing and medical recruiting industries.  We also provide creative services to companies in need of design for corporate branding, brochures, print and web ads and web design.

Additionally, I am a partner in a property management software start-up and a construction, remodeling and apartment maintenance company.

Outside of my family and businesses, I have an incredible passion for music and for sports - especially the Ducks and Blazers.

I plan on using this blog to organize my thoughts on life, both personal and professional, and amuse myself and whoever might stumble upon it.

Talk soon,

Will
